The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) is a non-profit, non-partisan policy institute charged with educating Members of Congress on fire and life safety issues. CHIEF R. DAVID PAULISON, ACTING FEMA DIRECTOR, TO KEYNOTE 18TH ANNUAL NATIONAL FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES DINNER (Washington, DC) The Congressional Fire Services Institute (CFSI) announces that Chief R. David Paulison, Acting FEMA Director, will serve as keynote speaker of the 18th Annual National Fire and Emergency Services Dinner. The dinner takes place April 6, 2006 at the Hilton Washington. Hosted by the Congressional Fire Services Institute, the annual tribute to the fire and emergency services is expected to draw 2,000 fire and emergency services officials from throughout the nation. In addition to Chief Paulison, the program will include remarks from many leaders of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus and awards recognizing individuals and organizations for their contributions to our nation's fire and emergency services. The theme for this year's program is "Leadership Saves Lives…So Everyone Goes Home." During the day, CFSI will host a series of seminars on Capitol Hill, featuring members of Congress, Administration officials and fire service leaders, to provide important information on federal legislation and programs impacting our nation's first responders.
