HOUSE AND SENATE RELEASE 2013 SCHEDULES
Both the House and Senate have released tentative legislative calendars for 2013. The House calendar can be viewed at http://www.democraticwhip.gov/sites/default/files/2013Calendar.pdf. Both the Senate and House have set aside time in their home districts to meet with their constituents. CFSI urges members of the fire and emergency services to schedule meetings with their members of the House and Senate when they are home. Invite your members of Congress to tour the fire station, ask them to address a meeting of local firefighters on pending homeland security and public safety legislation, or offer to take them on a ride-along. It is important for our nation's policy makers to see and hear directly from the firefighters in our local communities.
