- Former CFSI National Advisory Committee Chairman Dennis Compton recently testified at a congressional hearing on the reauthorization of the U.S. Fire Administration. Attached is a copy of his testimony presented to the subcommittee outlining his position on the U.S. Fire Administration, the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and other important issues Congress is currently addressing.

- On September 3, 2003, CFSI's Executive Director travled to Sacremento, CA to testify before the Advisory Panel to Assess Domestic Response Capabilities for Terrorism Involving Weapons of Mass Destruction. The focus of the panel was on how the Assistance to Firefighters Grant should be administered and for what purposes. The needs of firefighters facing terrorism and firefighting on a daily basis were a part of the discussion.
